How do I delete my account?

Open the Profile tab, tap Account, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. You'll be asked to type the word "delete" to confirm. Your profile, reports, walks, pets, alert history, and notification tokens are removed immediately — there's no 30-day waiting period.

If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@paw-watch.app from the address you signed up with and we'll delete your account within 30 days.

How do I report a hazard?

Open Paw Watch, tap the red + Report button at the bottom of the map, pick a category, set the severity, and add a short description. Most reports take under 30 seconds.

Why aren't I getting push notifications?

Three things to check:

• You granted notification permission to Paw Watch (iOS Settings → Paw Watch → Notifications).
• Your home radius is set and your alert categories are enabled (Profile tab → Alerts).
• You have a working internet connection. Try opening the map to confirm.

Why is my report missing from the map?

Reports expire based on severity: low (24h), medium (72h), high (7d). After that, the row is deleted from our database — not just hidden. If you just submitted it and don't see it, try pulling down to refresh the map.

Can I use Paw Watch without sharing my location?

You can browse the map and read reports without granting location. You'll need to grant location to submit reports and to receive alerts. To turn off location later, go to iOS Settings → Paw Watch → Location.

Why was my report downgraded or hidden?

If multiple walkers report the same hazard as no longer present, or if multiple walkers disagree with the report, Paw Watch will auto-deactivate it. We surface the dispute count on the report's detail page so you can see the breakdown.

How do I flag a report or block a user?

Open any hazard report and tap Report this content at the bottom. You can choose a category (harassment, hate speech, off-topic, impersonation, or other) and add an optional note. Flagged reports are reviewed by a moderator within 24 hours.

To block a walker entirely, open any of their reports and tap Block this user at the bottom. You'll be asked to type the word "block" to confirm. Their reports will no longer appear on your map, and you can unblock from Profile → Blocked users at any time.

How do I invite a walker to walk my dog?

Open the Profile tab, tap "Invites," and tap "Send invite." They'll get a 6-character code (also available as a QR code) that they can enter when they sign up. Your roles will update automatically when they accept.
